We are learning that the 'teen' part of the word means ten.

Marae Visit

We learnt about healthy eating and drinking.  WATER is the healthiest drink because it has no sugar!

We helped make the steam pudding. 

We weaved harakeke.

The boys participated in  Mau Rakau.

The Girls made Poi.

Dress Up Day

100 Days of School

Some of us have been at Hokowhitu school for 100 days so we celebrated.  We made fruit and marshmallow kebabs and fairy bread.

China.

Celia came to answer our questions about China.  She showed us lots of pictures.  We learnt that China has beautiful mountains and rivers.  It is Summer there at the moment.    We saw lots of parks and playgrounds for children.  Celia brought in some delicious Chinese food for us to try.  The spring rolls were our favourite.  Thank you so much again for sharing so much about your culture with us.  If there are any other parents/caregivers who would like to come and talk to Ruma Toru and Ruma Wha about their culture we would love to hear from you...
